Yes but. Who are we?

Have you ever tried buying clothes online only to find three zillion listings for each item? Us too.

Have you ever tried selling clothes online and got stuck being hassled by countless bargaining randoms? Us too.

Do you still like buying designer clothes for half the price? UM YES us too.

So we thought..could we invent an online shop for previously owned clothes, stocking only amazing-ly good stuff from superb-ly stylish Australian and New Zealand designers?

And could we do it in a way that was better for the planet and not worse?

Majority of what we stock is either BRAND NEW WITH TAGS, never worn or worn once. We buy our stock from only the nicest and fanciest of sellers with only the nicest and fanciest of stuff.

It benefits our world, our wallets and our wardrobe space. So its a kind of win, win, win situation.

And who started us?

After working as an Environmetal Scientist at a big 4 accounting firm for about a decade, I had my two cutey-cute babies and thought..what now?

I’d been buying and selling “pre-loved” things my entire life. I spent my early Saturdays at garage sales (pre-internet era), trawled through eBay and Gray’s, and then transitioned onto marketplace and gumtree.

Cue a re-location to Australia’s fashion capital (Melbourne) and a wander down High Street, I came to the realisation that I could not justify $400 on a top but I reeeaaallly loved the clothes.

So, I started buying local designer clothes off marketplace
and the experience was consistently, seriously, suck-y. But the reward? Stunning clothes, at a fraction of the price.

Something about it just felt good. I loved the circular process and I LOVED supporting Australian designers to keep making good quality stuff.

So over a glass of red wine (ok 3 glasses), I thought..is there a way of making this buying-and-selling-fashion process more
fun, trusting and easy?

And just like that..Restitched was born.
